1. What is the difference between the Full Service Menu, A la Carte and Online Services?

    With our Full Service Menu “we” are doing all the work. It begins with a Face to Face Menu e meeting with you to determine your specific needs and implement a plan to accomplish your goals. This may be as complex as a complete renovation or as simple as selecting window treatments. With this service you will incur an hourly fee for our design services. These fees may include product research and selection but not the actual cost of the merchandise or contracted labor.

    

    The A la Carte Menu offers an array of economical services that typically address one aspect of your design project. For an hourly rate our design team will work on your specific requirement.

    

    Our On Line Service is an interactive menu offering you a choice of three design packages with economical ways to accomplish your goals. We provide the plans with clear instructions for you to follow.

    

2. Why I should I use Details and Design Online services rather than working with a local designer?

    Although we have our Full Service Division, our Online Line Design Sevices is a smart way of tapping into our experience and resources at an affordable price. This is ideal for those who enjoy a hands on approach to working on their own design projects without incurring the higher cost of having a designer do all the work

3. What if I don't know which package is the right one for me?

    Simply Contact Us and we can evaluate your needs and suggest the perfect package for you.

4. What's involved in doing the questionnaire?

    No Master’s Degree required! You’ll just need to answer some basic questions that include your style preference, budget, treasured pieces and measurements. Simply send us your completed questionnaire along with photos or videos.

5. I'm concerned about measuring accurately?

    No Problem. Just check our online How-To video on measuring or our Step by Step instructions. The most important thing is to make sure you have a measuring tape.

6. I've never done this before. Are you able to give me an idea of how much my project will cost?

    Yes, we want you to be comfortable with your decision. Once we review your questionnaire and the scope of your project, we will evaluate what is needed and give you a ballpark estimate to meet your project goal.

7. How do I pay for the Design Services?

    For our Online Design Services we use PayPal a secure online line credit card processing company. If you are contracting us for our Full Service or A La Carte services, we will discuss the best payment plan for your project.

8. Are Kitchens and Baths included in your Design Packages?

    Yes, however, do keep in mind that some kitchen and bath remodels require specialized or custom work. Kitchen and Bath remodels are our specialty and if this is a direction you are considering we are equipped to help make your dream a reality. Once we review your questionnaire, we will provide you with basic ideas based on the package you select. If a full remodel is your desire, our professional team can personally consult with you to discuss how we can work together.

9. I'd like to purchase window treatments through your site but am concerned about doing the measurements.

   When you purchase window treatments from us, we will first review your selection to assure it is compatible with your windows. We will then provide you detailed instructions on how to measure correctly.

10. What if I purchased the Design Assessment and realized I need more help?

     No worries! The price you paid for the Design Assessment will be a credited one time towards a Room Intervention Package for the same room. Good Design shouldn’t cost you an arm & a leg!

11. Do you also work with Commercial Designs

     Yes, we have designed commercial projects of all sizes from medical and business offices to auto dealerships, marinas, retail establishments, restaurants, condominiums & hotel properties.

12. Do your designs meet ADA requirements?

     If this is a consideration that you are looking for, our designs can accommodate your needs whether it is an ADA requirement for a commercial property or a residential design for those with special needs.

13. What if I have some of my own ideas?

     That’s perfect! This is your place and we want you to feel completely at home in your space. No matter what package you select we will collaborate with you to incorporate your ideas while utilizing our professional experience to suggest up to date, functional, well priced ideas to create your dream space.

14. Can I purchase my own furnishings?

     Absolutely! However, we do suggest you run your ideas through us to insure it works with the design plan. We will also check with our pool of resources to determine if we can obtain an equivalent item at trade pricing. Depending on your design package and budget we may be suggesting additional products to purchase.

15. Is it possible to work with one of your designers without using your online services?

     Yes, simply Contact Us and we will be happy to discuss your needs and assess the best way for us to work together

16. Do the On Line Design Packages refer Contractors to do the work?

     No. Our On Line Packages are designed to make it easy for you to do the work giving simple guidelines and suggestions for you to implement. However, in some cases we may make suggestions that may require hiring outside help. Although we do not make recommendations for your local contractors we can provide sources and assistance in answering questions that you may have.

17. What if the paint colors you suggest look different in my room than on my computer monitor?

     When you purchase a Paint Consultation Package we will be providing you with product reference numbers for you to view samples at your local supplier. Many paint vendors sell small test samples for you to try

18. Can you suggest how I can include a green approach to my makeover?

    Yes, we love working with clients who are conscious about the environment. In fact, we have worked with a wide range of sustainable materials on many of our commercial and residential projects.
